How to download MT4 on MacOS

This guide walks you through downloading and installing MetaTrader 4 on a Mac computer. Follow the steps below to get set up and start trading on your Fintrix Markets account.

1. Log in to the Client Portal

Log in to the Client Portal, navigate to the Trader Menu, and click “Downloads.”

2. Select your platform version

Select MT4 according to the trading account you wish to use, then click “Download.”

3. Save the installer file

Click “Save” to download the program to your computer or laptop.

4. Open the downloaded file

Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to begin installation.

5. Begin the installation process

Click “Continue” to begin the installation process.

6. Review the Terms and Conditions

Carefully read the Terms and Conditions, then click “Continue.”

7. Accept the licence agreement

Click “Agree” to accept the terms and conditions of the software.

8. Confirm storage space and install

Check that your computer or laptop has sufficient storage space, then click “Install.”

9. Authenticate to allow installation

Enter your password or use fingerprint authentication (Touch ID) to confirm and allow the installation.

10. Installation complete

When the installation is complete, the system will display “The installation was successful.” Click “Close” to exit the installer.

11. Launch MetaTrader

Double-click the MetaTrader application to launch the program.

12. Install Rosetta (Apple Silicon Macs only)

For Mac devices using Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3), the system will prompt you to install Rosetta in order to run MetaTrader properly.

What is Rosetta? Rosetta is an Apple software that enables Mac computers with Apple Silicon to run applications designed for Intel (x86) processors.

13. Find your broker

After opening MetaTrader, you will be prompted to log in. Type “Fintrix” in the search field and click “Find your company.”

14. Select Fintrix Markets Ltd

Select “Fintrix Markets Ltd” from the results list, then click “Next.”

15. Log in to your trading account

Enter your Login ID and Password, then click “Finish.”

You can find your account details in the email registered with Fintrix by searching for “live account created.”

16. You’re ready to trade!

You are now ready to start trading. The MetaTrader platform will open with your Fintrix Markets account connected.
