How to change timeframes in MT4

Follow the steps below to switch between different chart timeframes in MetaTrader 4.
1. Open your MT4 platform
Open your MT4 platform.
2. Open a chart
Open a chart for any trading pair.
3. Locate the timeframe toolbar
Locate the timeframe toolbar at the top of the platform.
4. Click your desired timeframe
Click on your desired timeframe:
- M1, M5, M15, M30 – minutes
- H1, H4 – hours
- D1, W1, MN – daily, weekly, monthly
5. Chart updates instantly
The chart will instantly update to the selected timeframe.
