How to add trading pairs (symbols) in MT5

Follow the steps below to add trading pairs (symbols) to your Market Watch window in MetaTrader 5.

1. Open your MT5 platform

Open your MT5 platform.

2. Go to the Market Watch window

Go to the Market Watch window, usually located on the left side of the platform.

3. Right-click inside Market Watch

Right-click anywhere inside the Market Watch area.

4. Click “Symbols”

Click “Symbols” from the context menu.

5. Browse or search for a symbol

Browse through categories (Forex, Metals, Indices, etc.) or use the search function (MT5) to find the trading pair you want.

6. Select the trading pair

Select the trading pair (symbol) you want by using one of the following options:

• Click “Show”, or
• Double-click the symbol (MT5)

7. Click Close

Click Close to exit the Symbols window.

8. Symbol added to Market Watch

The selected symbols will now appear in your Market Watch list, ready to trade.
