How to add Indicators on MT4/MT5

Follow the steps below to add technical indicators to your charts in MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5.

1. Open your MT4 or MT5 platform

Open your MT4 or MT5 platform.

2. Click Insert in the top menu

Go to the top menu and click Insert.

3. Select Indicators

Select Indicators from the dropdown menu.

4. Choose a category

Choose the category that contains the indicator you want (e.g. Trend, Oscillators, Volumes).

5. Select your indicator

Click on the indicator you want to add (e.g. Moving Average, RSI, MACD).

6. Adjust settings and confirm

In the settings window:

Adjust parameters if needed
Click OK

7. Indicator appears on your chart

The indicator will now appear on your chart, ready to use in your analysis.
